: Does anybody know the English or Latin name for "swendara", a root that is used in Sri Lankan cooking?

I have looked everywhere I can think of, including a Sri Lankan dictionary.....Can't find any mention of this name.......spelling error?

Swendara is used in Sri Lanka cooking. A substitute is Lemongrass.
